CelcomDigi & Terengganu partner to advance digitalisation & AI
CelcomDigi Berhad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Terengganu Incorporated to collaborate on digitalisation and artificial intelligence adoption across Terengganu Inc's group of companies.
The agreement is the result of a series of strategic workshops held by the two organisations to identify priorities for advancing digital transformation in Terengganu, and aims to accelerate progress in areas such as connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, the Internet of Things (IoT), and data readiness.
Strategic priorities
Under the partnership, Terengganu Inc will work with CelcomDigi to carry out a comprehensive digital capability assessment across 13 of its subsidiaries. Using the results of this assessment, CelcomDigi will co-develop a targeted AI Strategic Framework designed to strengthen the group's digital capabilities and align with the state's objectives to build a resilient, technology-driven economy.
The partnership will see the two organisations create a strategic blueprint to modernise operations and increase efficiencies, with an emphasis on future-proofing capabilities to meet long-term needs.
State commitment
The signing was attended by YB Dato' Haji Mohd Azmi bin Mohamad Daham, State Financial Officer of Terengganu, in the presence of members of the State Executive Council. The ceremony was seen as a reflection of the state's commitment to digital and leadership development.
