CelcomDigi film backs Malaysian champions & network
CelcomDigi has released a film featuring a group of Malaysian athletes, creators and professionals as part of a campaign that links personal achievement with the operator's network branding.
The short film, titled The Network of Tomorrow's Champions, presents a line-up that spans esports, endurance sport, motorsport, traditional team sport, visual art and marine science. CelcomDigi positioned the film around themes of ambition and persistence.
The company listed Selangor Red Giants (SRG.OG) among the individuals and teams featured. It also named towerrunning athlete Soh Wai Ching and Lawn Bowls Malaysia's Inaugural World Cup Women Singles Champion Emma Firyana Saroji.
CelcomDigi included 13-year-old motorsports rider Qabil Irfan, who it said won the Espana Superbike Championship. The film also features Wan Muhammad Ammar Asyraf bin Wan Azizie Nazri and Aliff Ziqri bin Jasmin, who the company described as rising names in Malaysia's sepak takraw scene.
Outside sport, CelcomDigi said the film includes Small Towns Malaysia, which it described as an award-winning docu-content creator. It also referenced graffiti artist Wilson Ng, who it said worked on Sabah's largest mural, and marine biologist and conservationist Alvin Chelliah.
Network claims
In its wider messaging around the film, CelcomDigi linked the campaign to its network position and customer base. The operator said it had support from over 20 million Malaysians and described itself as "the country's widest, fastest, and most secure network".
CelcomDigi also described its reach across urban and rural areas. It referenced use cases ranging from esports venues to smaller communities, alongside work with creators and athletes.
The company described the film as a tribute to individuals who "inspire the nation". It also said the stories reflect its "commitment to keeping people, communities, and opportunities connected".
Sales push
Alongside the film, CelcomDigi set out a set of promotions that it described as a year-end sale. The deals focus on devices, bundled services and mobile security.
The operator said customers can receive a free Galaxy Watch8 or Buds3 Pro with the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Z Flip 7. It said the offer applies through Easy360, which it described as an instalment plan.
CelcomDigi also offered one year of free access to Viu Premium for customers who upgrade to a new phone on a 12-month contract under Pakej MegaJimat. It separately promoted CelcomDigi MobileSHIELD at RM1 for the first month, which it said would protect phones from online threats.
The company also pointed to in-store availability of devices and accessories across CelcomDigi Stores nationwide for customers considering gifts.
The campaign sits within an increasingly competitive Malaysian mobile market, where operators have placed greater emphasis on network claims, device bundling and content tie-ins. Telecommunications groups in the region have also expanded brand campaigns that connect consumer products with entertainment and sports communities.
CelcomDigi said the film brings together stories of individuals who turned "passion into achievement". It framed the selection as a snapshot of future-facing talent across different sectors in Malaysia.
The operator said: "As Malaysia steps into the new year, CelcomDigi invites everyone to celebrate the wins of yesterday and embrace the possibilities of tomorrow."
