CelcomDigi unveils Spark eSIM app for flexible mobile plans
CelcomDigi has introduced Spark by CelcomDigi, an eSIM-only, app-powered mobile experience designed to provide flexible connectivity for consumers in Malaysia.
Spark is designed to enable users to control their mobile subscriptions entirely through a dedicated application, removing the need for physical SIM cards or in-person store visits. The service is eSIM-only and allows instant sign-up, activation, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations directly within the app. It is available in three plan tiers, starting from MYR RM15 per month, offering internet quotas of up to 200GB.
Flexible management
Customers can manage up to five lines under a single account, supporting various use cases, such as maintaining a secondary number, travel connectivity, or periodic usage. Spark's plan options include on-demand roaming from MYR RM4, as well as additional boosters that can be easily added via the app. Users are also given the flexibility to pause or resume their service at any point, unlike traditional mobile plans that often require fixed contract periods.
Live chat support is integrated into the app, allowing users to obtain real-time assistance without leaving the platform. This feature aims to provide an added convenience for customers who require immediate support.
Shift toward digital
To access Spark, users require a device that supports eSIM technology. The company states that the process is designed to be straightforward: after downloading the Spark app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, users can select a mobile number, choose a plan from the Mini, Standard, or Plus options, and activate their eSIM line instantly.
Launch promotion
To introduce the service, CelcomDigi is offering a launch promotion where users who activate Spark between now and 31 December 2025 will receive MYR RM5 off every month for one year. The discount is applied by entering the promo code SPARK5 during the sign-up process.
CelcomDigi serves more than 20.4 million users on its network and states that Spark is part of its approach to meet the modern digital needs of consumers by providing a service that is managed exclusively through an app and not tied to traditional contracts or store-based experiences.
