LitUp Network has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Gateway Company, a significant step towards enhancing network connectivity infrastructure in Thailand and expanding both companies' presence in the ASEAN region.

The MoU outlines a strategic collaboration between LitUp Network, a subsidiary of OMS Group, and International Gateway Company. The two companies will work together on various projects in Thailand and the ASEAN region, including the development of cable landing stations and a submarine cable system.

The collaboration will encompass several initiatives, such as developing and delivering advanced network connectivity infrastructure, which aims to support the growing demand for high-speed, reliable internet services. Another key aspect of the partnership involves establishing and managing submarine cable landing stations, points of presence, and associated infrastructure essential for successfully deploying the submarine cable system and landing facilities.

Furthermore, the partnership is set to extend to all future digital infrastructure projects, leveraging the expertise and resources of both parties. Rozaimy Rahman, Managing Director of LitUp Network, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. "We are thrilled to partner with International Gateway Company on this pivotal initiative. This MoU represents a significant milestone in our journey to expand our network infrastructure capabilities in Thailand and the wider ASEAN region. Together, we will deliver world-class connectivity solutions that are crucial for the digital economy," Rahman said.

Pichit Satapattayanont, CEO of International Gateway Company, echoed these sentiments: "This collaboration with LitUp Network reflects our shared commitment to advancing Thailand's connectivity landscape and expanding to the ASEAN region. We look forward to working closely with LitUp Network to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the region."

Additionally, LitUp Network and International Gateway Company are working together on a new subsea cable system from Songkhla to Rayong and related terrestrial links, known as the Satun-Hatyai-Songkhla-Rayong cable system. This project will complement two other systems in future development, namely the Hatyai to Padang Besar and Hatyai to Bukit Kayu Hitam routes.

This strategic partnership is poised to significantly strengthen the foothold of both LitUp Network and International Gateway Company in Thailand. By pooling their expertise and resources, the collaboration aims to deliver innovative connectivity solutions to drive and accelerate digital transformation, ultimately fostering economic growth across the ASEAN region.

As the demand for high-speed internet services continues to rise, this initiative is crucial for enhancing regional infrastructure, ensuring businesses and communities can thrive in an increasingly digital economy. Together, they are committed to building a robust and resilient network that meets the market's evolving needs while positioning Thailand as a key player in the global digital landscape.
