Midea Building Technologies (MBT) has attended Data Centre World Asia (DCWA) 2026, held September 29-30 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. In this showcase, MBT unveiled the industry's first groundbreaking white paper on power-cooling hyper-convergence architecture with Clou Electronics. Meanwhile, MBT also showcased its full stack liquid cooling solution, which consists of three flagship products: Magnetic CDU, Next-Generation Air-Cooled Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller, and Industrial-Grade CDU. In addition, the Midea-Keppel Guian Cloud Data Center, a flagship project, was also on display. The combination of product portfolio, technical architecture, and real-world implementation demonstrates MBT's expanding capabilities in high-density AI data center infrastructure and reinforces its commitment to the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific data center market.

AI is Fundamentally Reshaping Data Center Infrastructure Requirements
The rapid expansion of AI compute is fundamentally transforming data center infrastructure requirements. Global compute demand is growing at approximately 26-36% CAGR, with next-generation AI server racks advancing toward 600 kW power density per cabinet. As power density continues to escalate, traditional electrical power and cooling architectures are reaching their limits.
This trend is particularly pronounced in the Asia-Pacific market. In recent years, data center investments in Southeast Asia have accelerated, with AI infrastructure buildout intensifying. The Asia-Pacific Data center market is entering a new infrastructure upgrade cycle. However, regional markets simultaneously face multiple challenges: high-temperature, high-humidity climates, water resource constraints, rising energy efficiency requirements, and sustainability mandates. These factors are driving demand for next-generation cooling solutions.
MBT is positioning itself as a key participant in this regional market transformation. To address these requirements, MBT has proposed a full-stack AIDC cooling solution, a forward-looking architectural framework for next-generation AI factories. The solution spans the entire cooling chain: from central chilled-water sources, CDU distribution, fan walls, secondary piping, to precision temperature control systems, coordinated through system-level controls for enhanced power and thermal management integration. This approach reflects MBT's assessment of Asia-Pacific high-density data center market requirements: the competitive landscape will no longer be determined by individual equipment performance alone, but by systematic integration of power, cooling, control, and operations capabilities.

Industry-First Power-Cooling Hyper-Converged Architecture Sets New Benchmark for AI Data Centers
As AI data centers evolve into high-density "AI factories," power delivery and thermal management are becoming increasingly interdependent. At DCWA 2026, MBT and Kehong Electronics, a subsidiary of Midea Group, jointly released a white paper introducing an industry-first power-cooling hyper-converged architecture for next-generation AI data centers.
The architecture integrates electrical power, energy storage, magnetic levitation chillers, and liquid-cooled CDUs into a unified end-to-end system. Designed for rising rack-level power density and large-scale AI workloads, it supports the industry's transition toward high-voltage DC distribution, centralized cooling, liquid cooling, and coordinated energy storage.
By addressing the critical challenge of electrical-thermal system integration, the white paper provides a technical reference for both new AI data center construction and retrofit projects. Its release also reinforces MBT's role in shaping infrastructure design standards for the APAC AI data center market, moving the conversation from product-level innovation to system-level architecture.

Full-Stack Liquid Cooling Solution Anchored by Magnetic CDU for Next-Generation AIDCs
The transition of Data center from traditional air cooling to liquid cooling has become an inevitable trend in the development of AI and high-density computing power. In response to this trend, MBT showcased its full stack AIDC cooling solution, with three flagship products forming the core.
Magnetic CDU, as the core of this solution, is designed to address the space, efficiency, and deployment challenges of next-generation AI data centers. Integrating the magnetic bearing cooling source and distribution unit into one system, it replaces the traditional "chiller + passive CDU" setup, reducing footprint by more than 70% and eliminating complex on-site commissioning. Under tropical climate conditions, it enables system PUE below 1.2, helping operators improve energy efficiency while reducing deployment time and operating costs.
The solution also includes an Air-Cooled Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller, designed for high-temperature and water-scarce environments, delivering a COP of up to 5.4 while reducing dependence on water resources. In addition, the Industrial-Grade CDU provides 2.6 MW of cooling capacity across a 3K temperature differential, supporting mission-critical, continuous operation in high-density computing scenarios.
Together, MBT's full-stack liquid cooling solution, with its robust liquid cooling innovation technology and three flagship products, addresses the core concerns of Asia-Pacific clients: high-density deployment, energy efficiency, water resource management, and reliable operations.

Midea and Keppel Partnership Showcases Integrated Data Center Infrastructure Capabilities
Midea and Keppel's collaboration highlights a complementary approach to next-generation data center infrastructure, combining Midea's strengths in high-efficiency hardware systems with Keppel's digital platform capabilities. Showcased at DCWA 2026, the partnership demonstrates how integrated infrastructure and digital operations can support the development of sustainable, high-density AI data centers.
As a key example of this collaboration, the Gui'an Midea Cloud Data Center in Guian New Area, Guizhou Province, brings together MBT's HVAC and elevator systems with Keppel's digital platform. The facility achieves 7,654 hours of annual free cooling and maintains a PUE below 1.2, demonstrating strong energy efficiency and operational reliability under an integrated power-cooling infrastructure approach.
As part of Midea's extensive experience in delivering Data center solutions across different markets, this project further conveys its engineering implementation capabilities and ecosystem cooperation experience to cliets in APAC. Through collaborative partnerships with international operators, MBT is reinforcing its market positioning as both a key participant and a leader in APAC data center infrastructure.
