Qvantel to provide 5G platform to Perfectum in Uzbekistan
Qvantel, a player in Digital Business Support System (BSS), announced that they have secured a contract to provide their Qvantel Flex BSS platform to Perfectum, a new operator in Uzbekistan. Additionally, this venture will form part of an ongoing collaboration between Qvantel and Nokia, their long-term partners, to provide a joint digital 5G monetisation solution.
Perfectum intends to deploy a 5G Stand-Alone (SA) network from Nokia, aiming to make a strategic investment for the future of Uzbekistan. The decision is in line with the government's strategy for digital transformation. This move is set to meet the region's escalating demand for high-speed connectivity and digital services.
Investing in 5G will empower Perfectum to offer a broad gamut of digital services and connectivity options. These will include capabilities for remote working, telemedicine, and various smart city initiatives, fulfilling a dynamic digital ecosystem and fostering growth in Uzbekistan.
Dmitry Shukov, CEO of Perfectum, expressed his excitement about the venture: "5G SA will enable Perfectum to offer differentiated services that will deliver meaningful change to consumers and businesses in Uzbekistan. As well as having the fast network, it's important that our business can support all the new opportunities that 5G can deliver. I am delighted to work with Qvantel and Nokia, as they will provide Perfectum with very agile BSS and monetisation systems that will provide the foundation for Perfectum to grow."
Varun Galande, CCO of Qvantel, also shared his thoughts on the collaboration: "Perfectum has a great opportunity to open up new markets and deliver new services and experiences to consumers and businesses. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with such a visionary company as Perfectum who can see the potential of 5G SA and how the agility enabled by Qvantel Flex BSS can turn this potential into business value."
Galande further hailed the quick adaptability feature of Qvantel Flex BSS, maintaining that it would allow Perfectum to rapidly develop new offers and deliver the best customer experience possible. He thus concluded that it offers the ideal platform for growth.
Erez Sverdlov, Vice President, Cloud and Network Services Market Leader, Europe at Nokia, highlighted the elevated customer experience that 5G SA can offer. He said, "Nokia is pleased to work with Perfectum and Qvantel to enable strong, new network capabilities through 5G SA that further elevate the customer experience. Delivering innovative 5G customer offerings, like network slicing, securely, at scale, and with advanced operational efficiencies can only be done through 5G SA and new monetisation models."
