Sinch partners with Aduna to enhance global network APIs

Yesterday

Sinch has announced a strategic partnership with Aduna to enhance global access to advanced mobile network capabilities through APIs.

Sinch aims to pioneer communication via its digital Customer Communications Cloud and has now joined forces with Aduna, a venture created by Ericsson and major telecom operators.

This collaboration is expected to advance the network API ecosystem and boost digital transformation for businesses globally.

Aduna, launched in September 2024, focuses on simplifying the adoption of network APIs and providing easy access to mobile network capabilities like authentication and security. It has key partnerships with developer platforms such as Vonage and Google Cloud. With Sinch, it seeks to drive innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency for enterprises dependent on secure digital infrastructures.

Sinch's network APIs allow companies to incorporate scalable secure communications within their digital services, supporting functions like two-factor authentication, identity verification, and fraud prevention. As part of their collaboration, Sinch is set to expand its Number Verification API offerings and simplify developer integration using standardized interfaces such as TMF Operate APIs.

Sean O'Neal, Chief Product Officer at Sinch, said, "Our partnership with Aduna is a significant step forward in unlocking the full potential of network APIs. Together, we are empowering enterprises to strengthen security and streamline critical digital services, such as authentication and identity management. As security demands grow, integrating scalable network capabilities through standard APIs will be vital in staying competitive in the digital economy."

Sinch is a major contributor to the CAMARA initiative, an open-source project led by the GSMA and Linux Foundation that seeks to standardize network APIs for global adoption. Sinch capitalises on its extensive experience in API integration, security, and developer onboarding to hasten industry adoption. It intends to broaden its network API portfolio in 2025, facilitating businesses to innovate securely and with confidence.

Anthony Bartolo, CEO of Aduna, remarked, "The collaboration with Sinch as a partner will be a crucial step for the success of Aduna. We are removing significant barriers for developers eager to harness the full potential of mobile networks. The planned integration of Sinch's expertise and reach will enable developers across leading platforms to access advanced network capabilities globally via common APIs. Aduna's mission is to accelerate digital transformation across businesses and society, and we are excited to partner with Sinch as we expand the network API ecosystem."

Through this partnership, Sinch and Aduna are set to influence the future of enterprise communication, allowing businesses to connect, authenticate, and engage customers with security and reliability similar to that offered by traditional mobile carriers.
