Oracle boosts AI capabilities with NVIDIA integration in cloud marketplace
Thu, 21st Sep 2023

Oracle has taken a significant step forward in the AI sphere by integrating NVIDIA AI Enterprise and the NVIDIA DGX Cloud AI supercomputing platform into the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

NVIDIA AI Enterprise is an enterprise-grade software designed to boost data science and simplify the deployment and development of production-ready AI. The NVIDIA DGX Cloud, on the other hand, is a renowned AI supercomputing platform. With their inclusion in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, customers can now seamlessly access NVIDIA's robust, secure, and scalable platform for comprehensive AI development and deployment on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Moreover, existing Oracle Universal Credits can be utilised by qualified customers to purchase both NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA DGX Cloud.

Back in March, OCI had the distinction of becoming the inaugural hyperscale cloud provider to introduce NVIDIA DGX Cloud. The recent addition of NVIDIA AI Enterprise and its availability in the Marketplace means customers can efficiently undertake any extensive model training for generative AI applications on OCI. This includes workloads that are enhanced by NVIDIA NeMo, a comprehensive, cloud-native framework designed for building, customising, and rolling out generative AI. Once the models have been trained and customised, customers can deploy inferencing with NVIDIA AI Enterprise on any OCI Compute instance via the NVIDIA Triton Inference Server. As a result, customers can now access a complete range of training and inference capabilities on OCI. This is complemented by OCI services tailored for application development and data management across a plethora of distributed cloud deployment options.

Gemelo.ai, an organisation that utilises NVIDIA Maxine GPU-accelerated AI software development kits and cloud-native microservices on OCI AI Infrastructure, stands out as an example. They have successfully deployed AI twins, which function as trained interactive service agents for their clientele. Karan Batta, the senior vice president of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, commented on this, stating, "Gemelo.ai is pioneering new AI-based business models that showcase the combined power of OCI and NVIDIA’s software."

Highlighting the collaboration between Oracle and NVIDIA, Batta further added, "The addition of NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA DGX Cloud to OCI further strengthens this collaboration and will help more organisations bring AI-fueled services to their customers faster."

Paul Jaski, CEO of Gemelo.ai, shared his excitement about harnessing the combined potential of OCI and the NVIDIA AI Enterprise suite for crafting their cutting-edge AI-driven applications.

Charlie Boyle, the vice president of DGX systems at NVIDIA, emphasised the significance of the partnership. He remarked, "The addition of NVIDIA DGX Cloud paired with NVIDIA AI software, including NVIDIA AI Enterprise, into Oracle Cloud Marketplace enables OCI customers to use their existing cloud credits to accelerate the development of generative AI applications."

NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA DGX Cloud are available for access via private offers in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace now.
