Thu, 25th Jan 2024

Leading telecom-as-a-service platform, OXIO, announced substantial growth in 2023, bolstered by significant momentum in the US, Mexico and across Latin America. The company experienced a dramatic surge in its US user base, with the number of active brands connected to the platform doubling.

OXIO's cloud-native, programmable global mobile network platform is transforming the future of telecommunications. The advanced system allows any enterprise, brand, or mobile operator to create a service utilising one or more leading MNOs quickly, offering AI-driven insights to deliver superior wireless experiences and bespoke plans. This enables the targeting of user segments more effectively.

Nicolas Girard, OXIO CEO and co-founder, said, "Companies love having full control over every aspect of their telecom network in a simple and modern way. The ability to understand their customers like never before and present them with hyper-personalized products and services in context is a compelling offering."

In 2023, OXIO saw a 55% increase in machine-to-machine line activations, which underscores businesses' increasing reliance on a secure, manageable network of devices. Network data consumption soared by 48%, and calls surged by 67%, extending OXIO's global reach to 194 out of 195 countries. This stellar performance affirms the strategic importance and global demand for a cost-efficient telecommunications platform.

Significant customer achievements contributed to this growth. One of the world's largest food manufacturers reported a 22% uptick in successful payment transactions upon switching their connectivity to OXIO. Meanwhile, commercial ally moBig leverages OXIO's telecom solutions to secure prominent clients like Huawei and Farmacias Guadalajara. Furthermore, in a move to enhance transaction efficiency across Latin America, Mercado Pago partnered with OXIO to provide reliable connectivity solutions for its POS terminals in Mexico.

Other notable collaborations include OXIO’s partnership with Casa Ley's mobile service, Red Clic. Working closely with OXIO, they launched two innovative MVNOs, enhancing employee connectivity and broadening consumer market access. Terra Energy, a leading solar panel provider, also tapped into OXIO's advanced connectivity solutions to optimise its operations efficiently.

To manage this significant growth, OXIO strengthened its executive team with strategic hires and promotions, including the appointment of industry veterans Adil Belihomji as Chief Technology Officer and Glenn Teuber as Chief Operating Officer. The company also expanded with a new office in Colombia and a rapidly enlarging pipeline in the US and Mexico.

OXIO’s platform also powered MobileX's new prepaid service offerings in Walmart, adding a successful AI system that predicts data requirements enabling customers to save money with personalised phone plans.

In recognition of the impact of its remarkable platform and robust corporate culture, OXIO was named one of America's Best Startup Employers of 2023 by Forbes, demonstrating the company's commitment to employee satisfaction and steady growth. As OXIO continues to combine exceptional corporate culture with groundbreaking products, the future looks bright for this forward-thinking telecom-as-a-service platform.
