CelcomDigi refreshes 5G postpaid plans with streaming perks
CelcomDigi has rolled out an updated set of Postpaid 5G plans in Malaysia, adding a new top-tier option and expanding bundled services such as streaming and online security.
The revised line-up introduces Postpaid 5G 190, priced at RM190 per month. It joins refreshed Postpaid 5G plans aimed at different usage needs, from heavier data users to customers with lighter demand.
More benefits now apply across multiple tiers, including access to selected entertainment services and expanded security features from certain price points.
Plan changes
The updated plans are positioned around a "future-ready mobile experience" with 5G connectivity, with parity between principal and supplementary lines.
Customers can choose any of the new Postpaid 5G plans as a supplementary line, with the same benefits offered at discounted rates.
Entertainment bundles have also been expanded, with Prime Video and Viu Premium included across the updated range for customers who stream on the go.
Online security is another area of change. WebSHIELD is now included in Postpaid 5G plans from Postpaid 5G 100 onwards, as part of CelcomDigi's push for a safer online experience.
Device offers
The updated portfolio also includes revised device options. CelcomDigi is offering smartphone instalment plans under its Easy360 programme, with zero upfront payment and zero interest.
Devices listed under Easy360 include the iPhone 17, Honor Magic V5 5G and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 5G, positioned as a way to access newer 5G devices through monthly instalments.
CelcomDigi has also expanded its Pakej MegaJimat range, which offers a broader selection of free 5G phones. Models named include the Honor X9d 5G, Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and Vivo Y31 5G.
Customers on CelcomDigi Postpaid 5G plans can also buy an additional device outright without a contract, with pricing described as competitive with market rates.
Roaming and add-ons
Roaming benefits have also been adjusted. Postpaid 5G 190 includes roaming in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
Postpaid 5G 120 and above offers up to 50% off roaming passes, signalling a focus on regional travellers where short-haul cross-border trips are common.
Subscribers can also add extra features through Mega Add-Ons and Freedom Add-Ons, covering additional quota, rebates, premium content and digital security tools. Some add-ons start at no cost.
Port-in incentive
CelcomDigi is offering time-limited rebates to attract switchers from other networks. Customers who port in to the new Postpaid 5G plans can receive rebates of up to RM120.
No further details were provided on eligibility or the promotion's duration.
Market context
The update comes as Malaysia's mobile operators compete on 5G price points and bundles, with consumers increasingly drawn to packaged services. Streaming tie-ins and security features are becoming more common as operators try to differentiate postpaid tiers beyond data allowances.
Supplementary-line structures also matter in a market where families often share a single principal account. Discounts paired with matched benefits can influence which operator wins multi-line households.
CelcomDigi is Malaysia's largest mobile network operator, with more than 20.5 million users. Formed through the merger of Celcom and Digi, it has since focused on consolidating its network footprint and retail presence.
The revised CelcomDigi Postpaid 5G plans are available to new and existing customers through CelcomDigi stores nationwide.
