Quantcast has appointed Tom Weaving as Managing Director for Southeast Asia, where he will oversee the company's commercial efforts across key markets in the region.

He will focus on revenue growth, with Singapore and Hong Kong identified as priorities alongside other emerging markets. He will also lead the regional rollout of Quantcast's recently launched Q+ advertising product and report to Paul Sigaloff, Vice President for APAC.

Singapore will serve as Weaving's base. His appointment puts an experienced programmatic advertising executive in charge of a region where digital advertising groups continue to compete for share among brands and agencies seeking broader reach across the open internet.

Weaving joins Quantcast after nearly eight years at The Trade Desk, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Business Development for South and Southeast Asia. In that role, he led the expansion of the company's Southeast Asian business and managed commercial teams across the region.

Earlier in his career, he held senior sales and account management roles at AOL, Adap.TV and Catcha Digital Asia. He also served on the IAB Singapore Video Committee, adding industry body experience to a career centred on programmatic advertising, sales leadership and business development.

The move comes as Quantcast continues to reshape its leadership structure in Asia-Pacific. Weaving's appointment follows the recent addition of Sigaloff as Vice President for APAC, signalling a broader push to strengthen the company's regional management team.

His remit includes developing business in both established and emerging Southeast Asian markets, placing him at the centre of Quantcast's efforts to deepen its presence across a region that spans mature advertising hubs and faster-growing digital economies.

His role also includes introducing Q+ more widely in the market. Quantcast describes the product as an autonomous performance advertising offering that allows advertisers to reach audiences across the open internet through a single ad set.

Regional build-out

Sigaloff commented on the appointment as Quantcast expands its senior leadership in the region.

"Tom has a proven track record of building and leading high-performing commercial teams and driving commercial growth. This is an exciting appointment for Quantcast as we continue to build our presence across the region," said Paul Sigaloff, Vice President for APAC, Quantcast.

The appointment reflects the importance of local market knowledge in Southeast Asia, where advertiser demand, media buying practices and regulatory settings can vary significantly between markets. Executives with experience across Singapore and neighbouring economies remain in demand as advertising technology groups seek to expand beyond core markets.

Weaving described the region as entering a new stage of development and linked his appointment to client demand for measurable results.

"Southeast Asia is at a pivotal inflection point in its digital maturity and brands need performance more than ever. I'm energised to lead our team in unlocking new levels of performance for our clients, ensuring they have what they need to thrive in this complex landscape. Quantcast's AI-powered platform helps advertisers cut through complexity, and I look forward to working alongside Paul and the wider APAC team to grow our presence here and build a team that puts clients' performance first," said Weaving.

Market focus

Southeast Asia has become a key region for advertising technology providers as multinational brands and local companies increase digital spending across mobile, video, retail media and connected television channels. Markets such as Singapore and Hong Kong often serve as regional centres for media buying and client relationships, while neighbouring countries offer growth opportunities tied to expanding internet penetration and online commerce.

For Quantcast, the appointment brings in a senior executive with more than a decade of experience in the region at a time when competition in programmatic advertising remains intense. Companies in the sector are seeking to differentiate themselves through automation, audience data, measurement tools and local sales execution.

Weaving's appointment is effective immediately.
